Name of Group

Area One Youth Club

Who are the target audience?

Young people between the ages of 12 and 16 who don't currently have a connection with the church or a relationship with the church

When do you meet?

8pm – 10pm each Friday

Where do you meet?

In the new hall at PBCC

What are the aims and objectives of the group?

Our aims are to give community young people a contact point with the church, to break down their stereotypes of what church, Jesus, Christians are all about, for them to have a lot of fun and for them to see the gospel and kingdom in and through our lives as leaders. We aim to vary our approach and build other opportunities to share with the kids in other ways and at other times

What is the content of a typical meeting?

There is always a range of available activities for the young people to choose from. Normally we run team games in the sports hall, a café in the upper room and table tennis / snooker in the annexe room. Sometimes we share a film in the annexe, do crafts in the upper room, and tournaments in the sports hall. We go ten-pin bowling and to concerts regularly. Normally we have a 9 o'clock slot where we share the gospel in the form of a drama / video or talk.
